The Design
Having previously designed the family home, our next collaboration took to the water. Set against the backdrop of Sydney Harbour, the yacht was conceived as an extension of the clients’ lifestyle, balancing the refinement of luxury yachting with the relaxed spirit of long Australian summer days.
Moving away from the conventional neutral palette of yacht interiors, a playful interplay of colour, pattern and texture introduces a sense of personality and the unexpected. Designed for sandy feet, children at play and the occasional spilled glass of wine, the interiors embrace a more relaxed interpretation of luxury, where considered design and the spontaneity of family life comfortably coexist.

The Details
Working within the yacht’s predetermined layout, the design focused on elevating the experience through a carefully curated palette of fabrics, finishes and soft furnishings. Bold patterns, tactile textures and tailored upholstery bring warmth and individuality to the interiors, offering a playful departure from traditional nautical conventions.
Material selections were guided as much by practicality as aesthetics, favouring durable, forgiving finishes suited to life on the water. Underfoot, a carpet crafted from recycled ocean-bound plastic bottles introduces a meaningful connection to the marine environment, its origins a subtle nod to the waters the yacht calls home. Together, these considered details strike a balance between refinement and resilience, without compromising on character.
